Description

-EDIT- OKAY! i knowtic mediafire saids you have to send a "proper message" if you did send them a proper message send the same message again and it will work(hopefully)! if you have any other things i need to know please send me a note about it so i can add it up here in the description!

:iconnononop: told me to make a tutorial for the Japanese Modelers so she can translate it i hope this tutorial is helpful i tried ;A;'''

oh yea this is also for the people who don't know how to report on Mediafre also oh yea i used some screenshots from websites as examples and My friend hide some of the person name & the link(their dead links) & my email - 7 -;; please let me know if i had this right >.<;;

oh one more thing! there's also other ways you can report links like this example (from here my friend PapaSweden showed me where she got it from [link] ):

"The first thing you should do is print screen proof that you have spoken with the model creator. It doesn't matter if the conversation is in Japanese as long as they can clearly see that the model creator has approved of you representing them. I'm not sure if the approval should be entirely kept in Japanese, since they might not accept that.

But, if they can understand that the modeler said yes to you being representative, then it would be acceptable.

In other words, you can have a whole conversation in japanese but keep this phrase in english:

"Will you allow me to help you by becoming your representative?"

And all the model maker has to do is say:

"Yes, I want you to help me."

That is good enough.

Now for the writing process. I usually number out the parts and space them out a lot since mediafire doesn't seem to read it when I had the information in a regular letter format. It's weird, but it works fine, and I used it for 4shared too, so it seems to be ok.

----------------------Steps-----------------------------

First off, go ahead and introduce yourself and say why you're contacting the site. Then in the next line, start on number one.

1. Identify yourself as representative of the model maker and link to the conversation as proof.

2. Talk about the modeler and the original works. Link to his or her sites and videos.

3. Talk about the illegal works and links. Tell them of the model maker's terms of use. Be sure to link to the illegal content and link to the user committing if possible.

4. Contact info. Emails are fine.

5. If you're making the email as a representative, you have to add the statement "I have good faith in my belief that the use of the material in the manner being complained of is not authorized by copyright owner [modeler’s name] and the law."

6. You also have to add this statement: "The above information I have provided is accurate and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of [modeler’s name] to complain of actions which infringe his or her copyright."

---------------------Example----------------------------

This example is entirely fictional, and it should help give a good idea of how it should look:

Hello, I am Hatsune Miku. I am contacting you today in place of my client Kaito.

1. Kaito has given me permission to represent him due to his inability to speak english. You can see our conversation here:

(screenshot link)

2. Kaito is a 3d artist who creates models for the public to use. He releases them on his website and creates videos on nicovideo.jp for the public to enjoy.

(link to Kaito's site)
(links to Kaito's mylist or videos)

3. Kaito's terms of use are included in read me text files that are with the data. They state that there is to be no editing nor redistribution of the data. Some users have broken his rules purposely by redistributing the data out to the public using mediafire.

(link to users)

(mediafire links)

4. If needed, please contact me via email: (Miku's email)

Kaito does not speak much english, but if needed, he can be contacted by his email: (Kaito's email)

5. I have good faith in my belief that the use of the material in the manner being complained of is not authorized by copyright owner Kaito and the law.

6. The above information I have provided is accurate and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of Kaito to complain of actions which infringe his copyright.

This should be enough, and the website should by then take actions necessary to delete the files. Sometimes it'll take days depending on the website. Generally, mediafire and 4shared seem to do it in about 3-4 hours or so. Deviantart takes about 3 days.

NOTE: Mediafire doesn't answer emails sometimes when they've already deleted the links. So check the links first before asking them if they did take action."

I do hope this tutorial help Guys! ;m;

-EDIT- YOU CAN DO THE SAME ON OTHER WEBSITES TOO!
